What excites you most about working at Throsby school?

I am so excited to be a teacher, learner and leader of the learning community at Throsby School. It is exciting to connect and work with children, colleagues, and the community to build this foundation school together. Our Throsby values of connected, curious and inclusive align with all my philosophies and beliefs about education and to be part of a school that fosters and develops these values is so exciting.

What inspired you to work in education?

I am passionate about public education and have always wanted to be a teacher since I was 6. I love watching children grow and learn and developing their self -belief. Children loving learning is the most important thing I can help a child develop.  Each day I teach I continue to be excited.

What’s the most important lesson you’ve learnt in your career?

The most important lesson I have learned is to reflect each day on my practice and leadership. As a lifelong learner this helps me to grow each day.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Always assume good will. This continues to build and develop a positive mind set in any situation.
